At each of the major tennis tournaments, IBM captures real-time Slamtracker information consisting of various data points captured from every tennis match. This data ranges from specific player stats (serve speed, count, number, distance) addition to being able to cross-reference real-time data points to past matches.
For the 2016 Rolland Garros tennis match, IBM and Ogilvy sought to use real-time data points and create corresponding stats and supporting illustrations that were displayed on various OOH placements throughout France. The goal was to make the data digestible for tennis fans and enthusiasts of all levels, which highlighting specific matches and player performances for audiences on the go.
